Subreddits

Manage which communities RedBuster watches from /dashboard/subreddits. RedBuster only ever drafts replies — and, on a much longer cooldown, original posts — inside subreddits that are listed here. Adding a subreddit is what turns monitoring on for it.

Adding a subreddit manually

Enter the subreddit's name (without r/) and add it. There's no limit on which public subreddits you can track, though your plan caps how many you can track at once (5 on Starter, 25 on Growth, unlimited on Explode).

Finding subreddits automatically

Rather than hunting for relevant communities by hand, click Find subreddits automatically and RedBuster does the search for you:

The key step is D — RedBuster doesn't just judge a candidate subreddit by its own name or description. It samples what's actually being discussed there recently and only keeps a subreddit if real members are genuinely asking about, complaining about, or comparing tools for the problem your product solves. A subreddit that merely sounds relevant on paper, with recent threads that are all unrelated chatter, gets skipped.

Because it's reading real threads across every candidate, this can take a minute or two — longer than a simple name search — so the button shows "Analyzing Reddit…" while it works rather than a quick spinner. There's a short cooldown between runs.

Removing a subreddit

Removing a subreddit stops RedBuster from monitoring it going forward. It doesn't retroactively remove or unpost anything already sent.
